AM PM is the only place open early on a Sunday morning. For that reason alone, Glasgow is somewhat thankful. It's located inside the Buchanan bus terminal.
This café has breakfast food, coffee, drinks, sandwiches, wraps and other pastries. I had a chicken wrap. For £2.80, it wasn't huge but it wasn't bad. Given a choice you'd obviously want to go somewhere else, but if you need food at 7am and nothing else is open, this place serves its purpose. -

It's one of the few things that a big city like Glasgow lacks in, a place where you can go In the early morning and grabs coffee & breakfast roll to go.
I ended up here while waiting for a bus and rather than head back up the street that l came I chose to risk it here.
I would never describe this place as a cafe more of a cafeteria, here there is no sound of a coffee machine just the bleeps from the food being microwaved.
The prices here are cheap with main meals being around £5 mark, but sadly the quality is just as cheap, with fishy bacon with half inch of fat around the edges.
In all the years that I've come here l don't think anything has ever changed except years ago there was internet access & computers for public use, but that was back in the day.
This place may be ok, but next time I think l will wait till another cafe or coffee shop is open before coming back. -

Picture this. It's your first time on Scottish soil. Finally, after 8 long hours spent on a coach from London to Glasgow you are finally ready to indulge in some authentic Scottish cuisine. We decided to take a seat at Am/Pm and proceeded to rest our backpacks on the table. As we were sorting out our ride from the bus station, we were interrupted by a very hostile voice. "Ye can't sit here if yer not gunna buy nothin," it said. Fair enough, we thought, and decided to head over to the counter to purchase a trusty orange juice and English Breakfast tea, both featured on the menu. "What ye havin?" said the straight face, to which we stated our order. They didn't have English Breakfast, so reluctantly I settled for an Earl Grey, but that is a different story for a different day. As we handed over our debit card to pay for the beverages, we were promptly told that they don't accept cards, and to walk across the station to withdraw some cash. Again, we went along with the shenanigans to the cash point. We payed, then returned to our seats where could peacefully sit now that we had purchased something from the cafe. A few minutes pass of snacking on some peanuts before we are interrupted by a new, yet equally hostile voice. "The tables are fer food not for ye luggage." As if that wasn't rude enough it as followed up by, "And ye can't eat yer peanuts neither, ye didn't purchase em 'ere." By then, we had had enough. We grabbed our bags and left immediately. I can safely say we will never return to this establishment again.

We (Not the Royal We, me and others) had time to kill before our bus to Edinburgh was due so we (again, not royal) thought we'd grab some munch in AMPM.
My Mr ordered a plate of links, bacon, beans and potato scone with a hash brown for him, a plate of scrambled egg and toast for his mum, a plate of scrambled egg, hash brown, beans and potato scone for me and some bacon for his brother.
We had to wait for the toast that went with the scrambled egg, but instead of keeping the egg in the hotplate until the toast was ready they gave us the egg as it was and brought the toast a few minutes later, by this time the egg was gone as we were quite hungry. They also forgot to give us the bacon we ordered but as the total cost only came to £5.40 I reckon they didn't charge us for it.
We paid cash because we didn't see a card machine anywhere, or any signs that they accept card sales so that was bit poo too.
The service from the staff was pretty poor, no effort to smile and they forgot the bacon!!! That's just not on...As mentioned in previous posts the staff were too busy chatting to each other to bother much about the customers. -

Picture the scene.
I had just handed in my dissertation and was suitably elated, and decided to nip into the bus station before getting my bus to the hairdressers for some well deserved pampering. I had to make it a quicky, so I went to am:pm, a take away and sit in cafe combined. Choosing my panini from the fridge, I went up to the take out counter and asked the woman if there was any mayo in my chosen panini, as I absolutely hate the stuff. She told me no. In fact, 'she telt me naw hen', so I gave it to her to be toasted. It was an eye watering 3.95, so I was waiting in anticipation for it being the best damn panini I had ever eaten.
The server was a little on the Glaswegian side, which is absolutely fine, but there's a fine line between the Glesgae banter and downright rudeness. She couldn't have looked any more miserable or less glad to serve me if she tried. She was too busy talking to the other members of staff about Corrie or what she was doing that weekend that she basically completely ignored me. The other customers that came to the counter got the same treatment, and I could see from their faces that they were less than impressed. When one guy asked what kind of pie they had, the retort was 'ehhh whit? Mince, obviously'.
I waited at the counter for about 15 minutes or more, and missed my bus in the process. The panini grill did not look as though it was working, and the 4 paninis they had stuffed into it were all taking ages to toast. Less than impressed, I was basically thrown my panini over the counter and I left for my bus. I was starving by this time, so got settled down in my seat, running late for my hair appointment, and took a bite of the panini. I have to say it did look good. I bit into it, looked down, and it was oozing with Mayo. You can guess the rage that I felt. It was most definitely a steam-exiting-ears moment!
Rude staff, long waiting times, extortionate prices and misinformation meant that this was a less than favourable lunchtime experience. I would never go back again!
